Brighton’s Premier League fixture with Chelsea this month has been brought forward.

The Seagulls were due to face Liam Rosenoir’s team at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, April 26 at 4pm.

However, the match has now been rearranged for Tuesday, April 21 with an 8pm kick-off. It will be screened live on Sky Sports.

The league clash was rescheduled due to Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final, which is due to be be played on the weekend of April 25.

The Blues reached the last four of the knockout competition thanks to their comfortable 7-0 win against Port Vale at Stamford Bridge last Saturday. They will now face Daniel Farke’s Leeds United at Wembley Stadium for a place in the final.

The rearranged fixture with Brighton means the Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls will have a quick turnaround time as they play Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, April 18.

After Chelsea, the Seagulls are next in action on May 2 as they make the long trip to Newcastle.

Hurzeler’s men are 10th in the Premier League and a recent uptick in form has them pushing for European qualification.
