Leeds United’s clash with Chelsea later this month will be the first time the Whites play an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
It will be the 11th time the club have played at the national stadium, having lifted two pieces of silverware in London across their 10 previous visits. It has been 39 years since the Whites made it to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, having ended the wait on Sunday.
Lucas Perri was the penalty hero with two saves in the shoot-out having made a number of good stops during regulation time. Pascal Struijk struck home the winning kick to set up his maiden game at Wembley, having missed the 2024 Championship play-off final.
A number of Leeds players, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, will play club football at the ground for the first time in their careers later this month. For many Leeds fans, it will be the first time they travel to Wembley in the FA Cup. For a number of others the first time ever.
