The pressure is piling up on Arne Slot at Liverpool, especially after Saturday’s capitulation.
Much has been made of Liverpool’s struggles this season, and the conversation always comes back around to the manager. Slot is unpopular with Liverpool fans — patience is running thin on Merseyside, and conversations about his status after the end of the season are raging on.
Many are speculating that the Liverpool players have lost faith in Slot, but his stance has not changed. The feeling is that he is still comfortable in his position, as Alex Crook has revealed on talkSPORT.

Arne Slot still feels comfortable about Liverpool position
Despite the majority of fans and pundits questioning Slot’s viability as manager, the Dutchman still feels as though he is the man to take Liverpool forward.
As Crook explained on talkSPORT: “Well, I don’t think the conversations have become that terminal yet. I think he still feels the backing of the hierarchy, but I think that the fans turning against him in the numbers they are is a problem.
“As I say that the nature of the defeat against City at the weekend coupled with potentially a heavy aggregate defeat here is a problem and what would concern me if I were a Liverpool fan”
He agrees with the growing unrest from the fans, but the hierarchy has not yet jumped on board.

Now, there’s every chance Slot’s confidence is misplaced, but until we hear concrete doubts from FSG, we should take this at face value.
Of course, where Liverpool finish in the Premier League and how they fare against PSG could change things massively. As it stands, though, he doesn’t think he’s going anywhere.
