Amad Diallo backs Michael Carrick for Man Utd job
United have yet to decide on who will be the first team head coach next season.
Carrick is making a strong case to remain head coach beyond this season, with United pushing hard for Champions League qualification.
After travelling to the Republic of Ireland for a four-day training camp at Carton House in Co. Kildare, United held a press conference with Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo.

Amad was asked about playing under Carrick and whether the players should have a say in who is the head coach.
“It’s not for us as a player to decide [whether he should get the job], but he’s been very great, doing so much for the team, a lot of experience, he knows the club and has the DNA,” Amad told reporters at a press conference held at Carton House, in the Republic of Ireland.
“We think he’s the right man, but we are very happy at what he is doing right now.”
Carrick is undoubtedly having a positive impact on the team. The players are enjoying themselves, and the results speak volumes.
“He knows the club, he has great experience to manage this club, he’s been doing very good and his relationship with every player is very good,” Amad added.
“Sometimes this kind of manager can bring the club where they belong.
“From a personal view he’s the right man but it’s not the players who decide if he is going to be the manager. But we are really happy to have him as a manager.”

Bryan Mbeumo echoes Amad’s views on Michael Carrick
Mbeumo was also present at the press conference to share his views on Carrick after working with the 44-year-old for the past three months.
The Cameroon international believes the transition under Carrick has been easier because of his history at the club.
“He knows the journey of the club, he knows how to talk to us as well, I think it’s been easier because he knew the house.”
Only time will tell if Ineos share the same views as Amad and Mbeumo, but they are clearly backing Carrick to take the team forward.
