Former WWE Star Wants To Start Wrestling Stable Of Ex-NFL Players

Former WWE star Bishop Dyer recently shared his thoughts on the growing debate between WWE stars and NFL players.

The discussion started after Tom Brady made comments on Logan Paul’s podcast. Brady called WWE more of a “cute” show, which sparked reactions quickly. Paul fired back by offering a $1 million boxing challenge and calling out NFL names like Myles Garrett. Soon after, former players like Le’Veon Bell showed interest, but WWE reportedly stepped in and shut things down.

Now, Dyer has added his voice to the conversation. He looked at it from both sides, but his main point stood out clearly: NFL players would dominate wrestlers in a real fight.

Bishop Dyer compares NFL And Wrestling athletes

Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Dyer explained his thoughts in detail. He even suggested forming a group of NFL players in wrestling.

“We have NFL, we’re better than wrestlers all over the world, and I think it would be a cool kind of group that you could form, because it would irritate everybody. As you see, it’s done, like the controversial statements of athletes and non-athletes, and it’s all scripted, and there’s some truth to all of it on both sides.”

“I do think that NFL players are extremely athletic, but it’s a different level because, in the wrestling world, the power of the pin controls the outcome, where in NFL it’s the actual ability of each athlete to keep their job. You have to be the best, and that’s not the way it is in wrestling. You just have to either have the right person in your corner or you have to be the best. There are multiple things.”

“But there’s been plenty of people that we’ve seen through WWE who are not the best in-ring performers, who are not good at promos, and they’re on TV every week. That wouldn’t be the case if that was the NFL. They would be out of there in a blink of an eye because they’re not the best. They just have a writer who loves them, or Hunter who loves them, or Tony who likes them. It doesn’t matter. There is some legitimate favoritism, where in NFL, billions of dollars are at stake for wins and losses. So you have your best players playing.”

Dyer then made his biggest claim, stating that the top 10 wrestlers in the world would “get smashed” if they faced the top 10 NFL players. These comments echo what Dyer said during an interview with WrestleZone, where he said that “95 percent of NFL players would run over most wrestlers” in a real fight.
