Man Utd hope to have another two deals announced by the end of the season.
Manchester United are in talks with two more first-team players over new contracts after they announced a deal for Harry Maguire.
The 33-year-old defender has been rewarded with a one-year contract extension that includes the option of an additional year. Maguire was out of contract at the end of the season and would have been available as a free agent if new terms had not been agreed.
United were eager to reward Maguire with a contract extension following his resurgence under head coach Michael Carrick. The centre-back has started the previous 10 matches across all competitions and earned an England recall under Thomas Tuchel ahead of the World Cup this summer. Director of Football Jason Wilcox described the centre-back as 'the ultimate professional who brings invaluable experience and leadership' to the squad.

United working on Heaton and Mainoo deals
Manchester United are also in talks with Kobbie Mainoo over an improved contract to recognise his importance to the first-team squad. The 20-year-old is another player who has been revitalised under head coach Michael Carrick, and United appreciate he deserves a deal that better reflects his role in the side.
Mainoo last signed a deal in 2023, when he was still 17, and has already activated all of the performance-related bonuses in the contract. It is understood United have proposed a five-year deal that will run until June 2031 with a higher base wage to reflect his seniority.
United are also in provisional talks with Tom Heaton over a possible contract extension. The 39-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at the end of the season, and United will consider offering him a one-year extension as they look to add stability to the position.
Heaton is the current third-choice keeper and is considered one of the most important members of the first-team squad. He is an extremely popular and respected figure on the playing staff and was named in the six-man leadership group under former head coach Ruben Amorim. He has made three senior appearances for the club and has been named on the bench five times this season.
