Liverpool visit Paris Saint-Germain for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday night.
The Reds will arrive in the French capital as underdogs against the reigning champions, having been beaten 4-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
Speculation surrounding Arne Slot’s future at Anfield remains rife, with the Dutchman’s side having failed miserably in their efforts to defend their Premier League crown.
Aside from that, it appears that those in charge of the Reds’ recruitment are working on a deal to sign an impressive Argentinian defender.
As reported by CaughtOffside, Liverpool are one of three huge Premier League sides in talks to sign Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi.

The report claims that London sides Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Argentina international, who has built a reputation as one of the best central defenders in the top flight.
The Cherries signed Senesi from Dutch side Feyenoord – Slot’s former club – back in 2022 and the Argentine has since played more than 120 times for the south coast outfit across all competitions.
So far this season he has missed just one Premier League match, due to a suspension after picking up too many yellow card during the first half of the campaign.
Senesi’s contract with Bournemouth is set to expire this summer, though, and the report suggests that Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs have all been in talks over a potential free transfer.
Last summer Bournemouth lost Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi form their backline, and it now appears that Senesi could also be on the move.
Despite significant interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, it is claimed that La Liga sides Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are currently best-placed to sign the defender this summer.
