THE GOOD

– Meets NFL height/weight preference

– Competitive with the ball in the air and finishes plays at the catch point

– Aggressive and reliable tackler in open grass, plays with violence but also with control and ability to break down

– Supports the run game

– Inside/outside value and background

– Patient against receiver release in tight man coverage

– Generally matches vertical routes well and squeezes windows

– Competes hard on a snap-to-snap basis

– Special teams value/background

The Bad

– Unremarkable frame in bulk/muscle

– Only above-average athleticism on tape and in testing

– Inconsistent in punching off the line of scrimmage, too often misses, and allows receivers to stack without great speed to recover

– Eyes can be fooled, prone to biting on trick plays

– Can get outmuscled on jump balls

– Minimal INT production, far more likely to knock passes away than pick them off

– Older prospect

Bio

– Age unknown, but spent six years in college

– Zero-star recruit from Loxahatchee, FL

– Toledo planned to move him to safety for the 2024 season, but he primarily played cornerback

– Raised by his mother, Fran, for most of his life

– Has three brothers and one sister and is the oldest among them

– Shrine Bowl participant

– Considering joining stepfather’s business (taxes/real estate) post-football, and was a business management major

Tape Breakdown

Andre Fuller bounced back from a season-ending 2024 injury to have a solid 2025 season in the hopes of being the next Toledo defensive back in the NFL. Overshadowed by first-round prospect Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Fuller primarily played outside cornerback this past season but also worked in the slot. He didn’t pick off many passes but showed his strength at the catch point, challenging throws at their apex.

As a tackler, Fuller plays big and aggressively. His run support is ferocious, and he shows force and violence as a tackler. This first clip is a prime example, but hardly the only one.

Negatively, Fuller has an average build and average-to-slightly-above-average athleticism. He struggles with his punch off the line and doesn’t have the recovery speed to get back in-phase. Top of the screen against Kentucky, bottom versus Washington State.

He’s an older prospect who lacks splash plays. On a baseline, age/athleticism/production standpoint, Fuller doesn’t stand out.

Conclusion

Overall, Andre Fuller is a steady and solid cornerback prospect who plays the game with the right demeanor. Still, he profiles more of a backup than a starter due to a lack of higher-end physical tools. Moving him to the slot might be his best NFL home and role.

My NFL comp is Kristian Fulton.
