Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has claimed he is planning to buy a majority stake in Chelsea Football Club, raising eyebrows amid his history of bold assertions about his wealth. The Premier League club is currently controlled by American-led consortium BlueCo under Todd Boehly, which purchased Chelsea in 2022 for £4.25 billion.

Lee Andrews has frequently made headlines with claims about his fortune since marrying Katie Price. The couple tied the knot just two weeks after meeting and remain together.

“There’s a bit of a verification process and I’ll only obtain 55 percent, obviously for quite a large amount. I can’t tell you all the workings and inner parts to my wealth but definitely the money is there. And they have to accept and they have to verify, but it will be going in. It sounds crazy, it sounds ambitious, but watch this space,”The businessman told The Sun.

Among his previous claims is purchasing a £36 million property in Dubai entirely in cash, though Katie later confirmed she would not be relocating there, Mirror reports. Questions have also been raised about Lee’s academic and official credentials.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, host Ed Balls noted, “His passport says that he's a doctor, it's reported that he has a PhD from Cambridge, but Cambridge University said they had never heard of him.”

Katie Price responded, “He doesn't have a PhD from Cambridge, it's one in Spain. That's for him to say that he's got his PhD, but it's not from Cambridge, I don't know where that came from, he hasn't got a PhD from Cambridge at all but he has got a PhD.”

She further claimed he holds a diplomatic passport, explaining, “I've seen everything I need to see, on his diplomatic passport, it's Doctor Lee Andrews, on his normal passport, it's Wesley Lee Andrews.”

Meanwhile, Lee Andrews faces ongoing allegations of scamming women, Daily Record reported in March.

His ex-fiancée Alana Percival has come forward, stating that other women have contacted her with similar accusations.

She told her 13,200 Instagram followers, “Another woman sending me voices on how he tried to scam her... 4 people in 2 weeks reached out to me sending me all sorts of voice recordings.

"Self-claimed multimillionaire or billionaire, my f***ing a**e. Begging women around the world for £3000 this was only in January!

"They have been speaking since May 2025... when she said no he got angry and said some [vile] things (no shock there).

"More people that he is trying to scam like he done to poor Crystal.”

Alana labelled him “another Tinder swindler” and alleged he was stuck in Dubai under a travel ban, claims which Lee Andrews has dismissed as “complete b******s.”

Previous relationships included Alana and Crystal Jakes simultaneously, and sources claim he was imprisoned in Dubai over soliciting cash.

Andrews also promotes his business credentials, including claiming roles in the Labour Party and The King’s Trust.

His LinkedIn page lists him as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Labour Party since May 2015, reportedly as an “Associate member & supporter of His Majesty’s Government,” though a Labour source said, “We don't have a 'Board of Advisors' and this individual doesn't work with us.”
