Lee Andrews' newest "ambitious" project has been revealed

Katie Price's husband Lee Andrew has announced he is planning to buy enough shares in Chelsea FC to own a majority stake. It comes as suspicion continues to grow over his business practices.

Businessman Lee, 42, proudly revealed on Wednesday (April 8) that he was planning on taking over the Premiere League football club. But after several investors have previously called out Lee for reportedly not giving their investments back, speculation is rife over how rich Lee really is.

But now, Andrews has announced his most ambitious project yet, hoping to take over the Blues. It comes as he continues to fend off accusations he is not even in the UK but instead stuck in Dubai on a travel ban.

According to the Sun, Chelsea is currently owned by consortium BlueCo, headed by US entrepreneur Todd Boehly. Back in 2022, he bought the club for a whopping £4.25billion, making it an incredibly expensive asset to own.

Now Lee, who claims to be a multi-millionaire has announced he wants to try and take over the club himself. Speaking to the newspaper, he admitted he knows the plan is a bit "crazy and ambitious", but insisted that he had the money to get the deal over the line.

He told the Sun: "There’s a bit of a verification process and I’ll only obtain 55 per cent, obviously for quite a large amount. I can’t tell you all the workings and inner parts to my wealth but definitely the money is there.

"And they have to accept and they have to verify, but it will be going in," he added. "It sounds crazy, it sounds ambitious, but watch this space."

Lee is now appearing to splash the cash after claiming to have bought a house worth £36million in cash. And the location is not just anywhere, it's on the luxurious Palm Jumeirah in Dubai as he tries to coax wife Katie into moving there, despite Katie insisting she isn't leaving the UK.

But despite his various financial ploys in recent weeks, Lee has been consistently called out for overstating his abilities. He has even admitted to exaggerating certain parts of his CV in order to make himself look more employable.

One instance saw him claim to be a multilinguist who was able to speak some 12 languages fluently. However, when he was put on the spot and told to demonstrate his linguistic abilities, he was only barely able to stumble through three.

As well as this, he has also been caught out lying about meeting high-end celebs including momager Kris Jenner, and has even fibbed about being a doctor. Even wife Katie, who has stood by him despite his various scandals in recent weeks, admitted she was not sure where he got his phD from.

It comes as Chelsea FC is continuing to haemorrhage money after admitting they had lost some £262.4million in revenue from the 2024/25 season. This is now the highest loss in Premiere League history, breaking the record set by Manchester City in the 2010/11 season, which sat at £197.5million.
