When 100 percent healthy, the Green Bay Packers‘ offense is about as potent and intimidating as any in the NFL, with star players like Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft.
Unfortunately for Green Bay, the team saw one of these star players go down halfway through the 2025 NFL season, with Kraft suffering a season-ending torn ACL in his right knee.
Kraft was well on his way to having a career season in his third year with the Packers, as he racked up 489 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 32 receptions. He was one touchdown reception off his career-high total (7) and only 218 receiving yards off matching his career-best total (707) in that category, which is impressive, to say the least.

With the NFL offseason well underway, one of the Packers’ main concerns offensively is getting Kraft back to 100 percent healthy before the start of the 2026 NFL season.
It appears Kraft is making significant progress in his recovery from right knee surgery, as he took to social media with a promising update, posting a video of himself running on a track in cold weather, presumably in Green Bay.
If Kraft can continue his upward trajectory, he will be in the running for being one of the best tight ends in the NFL, if not the best player at the position in the league moving forward. He’ll be in the same conversation as Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta.
Kraft has some serious upside to his game, and as long as he’s on the same page with Love, the sky is the limit for the South Dakota State product.
Could Packer Trade for Dexter Lawrence?

Although the New York Giants appear to be headed in the right direction with one-time Super Bowl champion head coach John Harbaugh leading the way and quite a few talented players like quarterback Jaxson Dart, things got a little rocky recently, with defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence requesting a trade.
With Lawrence opening the door for business, the Packers could be a team that shows interest in acquiring him in a trade before the 2026 campaign.
Wendell Ferreira of A to Z Sports believes Lawrence would be the “perfect addition” to the Packers’ defense if they can figure out a way to make a deal with limited trade assets.
“Lawrence would be a perfect addition to what the Packers need, and while the investment is significant, $39.5 million over the next two years is a pretty reasonable amount to pay for an elite interior defender,” wrote Ferreira.
Lawrence is one of the best players in the NFL at his position and would be a massive upgrade for Green Bay, especially when playing alongside fellow star Micah Parsons. Still, it remains to be seen whether the Packers have interest in making a deal and whether it is even possible, given other teams that might offer better trade packages.
