With the 2026 NFL Draft approaching, the trade speculation surrounding Las Vegas Raiders‘ Maxx Crosby continues. It doesn’t appear that the Silver and Black are looking to trade Crosby, but that won’t stop teams from possibly calling and the football media from speculating.

The Raiders nearly sent Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens. However, the trade fell through due to a failed physical. Nonetheless, another team that could use the veteran pass rusher is the Dallas Cowboys.

FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano floated a trade idea that would see the Raiders receive the 2026 first-round pick (12th), the 2026 third-round pick (92nd), and the 2027 third-round pick, while Dallas gets Crosby.

“This is probably a very un-Jerry Jones-like move, but the Cowboys’ defense is a mess, and they desperately need help with their pass rush,”Vacchiano wrote in his April 8 article. “It would be costly, though not as costly as the two first-round picks the Ravens initially agreed to send to Vegas for Crosby before that trade fell apart.

“The Cowboys have two first-rounders, so they could part with one and sweeten the deal with a couple of thirds. Assuming Crosby’s knee isn’t ravaged, it’s worth the risk for a team desperate to make a Super Bowl run, because adding Crosby would give the Cowboys one of the best defensive fronts in the league.”

Last season with the Raiders,Crosby posted a 79.7 overall PFF defensive grade. His 77.1 pass-rush grade ranked 20th among 115 qualified edge defenders, while his 78.7 mark against the run placed 11th at the position.

Moreover, he totaled 53 pressures, including 10 sacks, 31 hurries, and 12 quarterback hits. Crosby also made 46 solo tackles and forced one fumble over the course of the season.

Bills Receive Trade Pitch for Raiders’ Maxx Crosby

Despite the trade to the Ravens falling through,Garrett Podell of CBS Sports pitched a trade that highlights theBuffalo Bills as the team most in need of trading for Crosby.

“General manager Brandon Beane executed a power play to roll Sean McDermott under the bus for this failure,” Podell wrote in his article thatwas published on April 7. “He also traded a 2026 second-round pick to theChicago Bears in exchange for wide receiver DJ Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick.

“It’s time for all-in moves in Buffalo. The Bills also haven’t had a player produce double-digit sacks for them since Leonard Floyd did so with 10.5 back in 2023. Some salary cap maneuvering would certainly be required, but it’s a move Beane could feel desperate to make.”

Heading into the draft, Buffalo has seven picks, including the No. 26 overall selection.

Kirk Cousins Gets Blunt About Maxx Crosby

While there’s speculation about Crosby, the Raiders players are operating as though he will be their teammate to start the 2026 season. Las Vegas’ new QB, Kirk Cousins, shared his thoughts regarding Crosby, whom he’s happy not to face.

“There’s only a handful of guys in the league, maybe a half‑dozen, that truly you’re thinking about as you prepare for them the entire week, every play, saying, ‘What are we doing about this guy?'”Cousins said in a April 6 video on the Raiders’ YouTube channel.

“And there’s only about a half‑dozen of them. Maxx is one of those guys where, you know, you are all week long wondering how he could wreck the game on this play, on this play, on this play.”
