Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is making a statement with his latest video following the NFL's call.
The NFL made waves this past week when they announced that the league won’t be suspending Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and has closed its investigation into abuse allegations aimed at the player.
Of course, this wasn’t the first time Rice has been in trouble with the NFL. Rice missed the first six games of the 2025-26 season after an NFL suspension following a high-speed crash on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. After pleading guilty to third-degree felony charges of collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury, he was served with a sentence of 30 days in jail and five years probation.
But, Rice is making a clear statement that the past is the past, and he’s ready for the future with the Kansas City Chiefs. After coming back from his six-game suspension, Rice rounded out the 2025-26 season with 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns, according to NFL research. Now, Rice is posting video footage that shows he’s in tip-top shape.
Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Rashee Rice Shows Off Workout Video
On Wednesday, April 8, Rice took to social media to show off his latest workout video. The clip shows the wide receiver running with a very fast speed and impressive foot work, already getting ready for the season.
“It’s funny people think the Chiefs are cooked this year. It will be fun to win the west again,” one follower said on X. “1,500 season incoming,” another said.
Earlier in the day, Rice also took to social media to say, “Gotta set the bar as high as I can! Never give yourself a ceiling.” This was in response to a follower tweeting out that there was “zero percent chance Rashee Rice gets JSN money with KC.” JSN refers to Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks.
On Whether the Kansas City Chiefs Will Bring Rashee Rice Back for the 2027-28 Season
As for whether the Kansas City Chiefs will bring Rice back after the 2026-27 season, Leigh Oleszczak of Arrowhead Addict thinks it’s a no go. “As for the part where he wants to spend his entire career in K.C., that’s a nice thought if he ends up being a good player,” he states in a Wednesday feature about the player.
He added of the idea, “The Chiefs simply haven’t seen enough from Rice to merit giving him a new contract though and that means it’s time for Rice to prove himself and ball out during his contract year in 2026.”
So, is there any chance of Rice staying with the Chiefs after this season? There’s always a chance, but Oleszczak thinks it would take a lot. ” If Rice plays well in 2026 and stays out of trouble, then perhaps there’s a chance that he can remain in Kansas City for at least a few more years,” he adds in the piece. Oleszczak added, “As far as getting that JSN money, that probably won’t happen in Kansas City and feels unlikely that it’d happen at all.”
True that it would take a lot for Rice to get Smith-Njigba bag with the Kansas City Chiefs. But, that’s true of any player in the league.
