2026 Relative Athletic Scores: Which Offensive Lineman Tested Best?

Today, I wanted to visualize some great data from Kent Lee Platte’s Relative Athletic Scores (RAS) for offensive linemen (OL). Here is a link to Platte’s website in case you haven’t seen his work.

To qualify for a RAS score, a player must have a total of six recorded metrics from any of the following: Height, Weight, Forty-yard dash, Twenty-yard split, Ten-yard split, Bench Press, Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, Short Shuttle, and 3-Cone. The player is then graded against the positional database dating back to 1987, giving the raw numbers context.

The goal of the series is to provide the RAS from Platte and visualize it to get a simultaneous view of all the players at their position who participated in the combine. There will be two visuals, one for tackles (OT) and another for interior linemen (IOL), based on NFL position projections from our lead draft analyst, Ryan Paglia.

Here are OTs who qualified for a RAS:

First, the list of tackles is not as substantial (16 players), with many others that were college tackles projected to kick inside at the NFL level. Eight OT qualifiers land in the 9-plus RAS range.

The top OT RAS was Georgia’s Monroe Freeling, with a near-perfect 9.99 RAS. He has elite speed (4.93 40-time, 1.71 10-split) and explosion (33.5 vertical, 907 broad jumps). Good size (6065 height, 315 weight). No agility tests or bench press. 3468 arms, 1068 hands.

Clemson’s Blake Miller (9.9 RAS) has elite speed (5.04 40-time, 1.75 10-split) and explosion (32.0 vertical, 905 broad jumps). Good size (6066 height, 317 weight) and agility (4.65 shuttle, 7.75 three-cone). 3428 arms, 968 hands, solid 32 bench reps.

Arizona State’s Max Iheanachor (9.86 RAS) has elite speed (4.91 40-time, 1.73 10-split) and explosion (30.5 vertical, 907 broad jumps). Good size (6056 height, 321 weight). No agility testing. 3378 arms, 900 hands, and 25 bench reps.

Northwestern’s Caleb Tiernan (9.37 RAS) has elite explosion (35.5 vertical, 903 broad jumps). Great size (6076 height, 323 weight). Okay agility (4.71 shuttle, 8.08 three-cone). No speed testing or bench press. 3228 arms, 900 hands.

Pittsburgh has several OL prospects to choose from in the 2026 NFL Draft to bolster its offensive trenches. Position projections can certainly be debated. But IOL prospects are more plentiful in our draft teams’ eyes, while the overall OT group lacks the length Pittsburgh has historically desired (though there are some to choose from).

Of course, this is just one piece of a large draft puzzle.
