Welcome to a series focusing specifically on the schoolboys at Arsenal who are currently at Hale End – those in the U16s and below. The academy is based in E17, Walthamstow. The 23rd article is on Kyron Raymond Callender.
A winger who is part of Arsenal’s U15 squad, Raymond Callender is a very direct and determined player.
This week Raymond Callender has played a key part for the Arsenal side that have reached the final of the Premier League NEXTGEN Beijing Cup.
The prospect was one of Arsenal’s standout performers in their opening game against Shijiazhuang Kung Fu.
He then provided an assist for Jaden Maghoma in the victory against Aston Villa.
Next season will be an important one for Raymond Callender as he will be part of the U16 squad on a full-time basis and will be looking to earn a scholarship at the club.
If he continues to perform to this standard then it seems like the youngster will have a good chance of earning an extended stay.
