The latest Fantasy Premier League injury updates ahead of the Gameweek 32 deadline - with the latest news from Arsenal, Liverpool and many others.
After an extended hiatus for the international break and the FA Cup quarter-finals, Fantasy Premier League managers across the globe finally have a deadline to face – but as is so often the case, there are a number of key injury issues facing FPL players before Friday’s 18:30 BST deadline.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Jurriën Timber are both key doubts, Liverpool’s Alexander Isak may not start as he slowly works his way back from a broken leg, and Reece James, Bruno Guimarães and Mohammed Kudus are among the potentially important FPL assets with worrying yellow and orange triangles next to their name in the app.
To make life easier, then, we’re here with a round-up of the latest Fantasy Premier League injury news ahead of the deadline. We’ll likely have updates after Friday’s pre-match press conferences tomorrow, but this is what we know so far. And if you’re looking for some advice on how to use your chips ahead of next week’s double gameweeks, you should also check out our resident expert’s latest FPL advice column by clicking here.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka & Jurriën Timber among FPL doubts for Gameweek 32
Bukayo Saka & Jurriën Timber: Both Saka and Timber carried injuries into the international break and neither have played since, with their absence from Arsenal’s Champions League match against Sporting provoking concern – Mikel Arteta, who rarely provides much clarity with his injury updates, has said that the pair will “hopefully” be ready to play some part in Arsenal’s game against Bournemouth, but both remains doubts.
Eberechi Eze, by the way, should be out for at least three more weeks, and his orange flag in the app is a red herring. Piero Hincapié is also unavailable, with no timeline for his return as yet. You can find full updates on Arsenal’s injuries here.
Alexander Isak & Alisson Becker: Isak made his first appearance for Liverpool since December when he came off the bench during Wednesday's 2-0 Champions League defeat to PSG, but don’t expect him to start this weekend – Hugo Ekitiké seems likely to continue up front, with Arne Slot suggesting that Isak will be eased back in. Alisson, meanwhile, is likely out until May.
Reece James: Although Liam Rosenior has told the media that James is “getting along really well,” he remains a major doubt for Chelsea’s match against Manchester City as he recovers from a hamstring injury. He won’t be out for much longer, but he’s touch and go for this weekend. Trevoh Chalobah and Jamie Gittens are out until early May, and remember that Enzo Fernández is suspended for this weekend’s match for internal disciplinary reasons.
Iliman Ndiaye: The Everton forward missed Senegal’s matches over the international break due to ‘discomfort’ in his left foot, and enters the weekend as a minor doubt – he’ll face a late fitness test, but the early signals are that his exclusion from the national side was more precautionary than anything else. We suspect that he’ll play against Brentford.
Bruno Guimarães: The Brazilian, who has been out since February, is back in training and all indications suggest that he will be back on the pitch this weekend too. Eddie Howe has also suggested that Fabian Schär and Lewis Miley will be available, although whether they play a full 90 minutes or not is another matter. Sven Botman is still likely to be out for another week or two.
Manchester City & Leeds stars also facing fitness tests
Rúben Dias & John Stones: FPL players looking to max out on Manchester City assets ahead of the first of their two double gameweeks should perhaps steer clear of Dias and Stones, who both missed the FA Cup win over Liverpool with minor injuries. We’re in late fitness test territory, although neither issue is believed to be severe.
Anton Stach, Joe Rodon & Gabriel Gudmundsson: Leeds also have a double gameweek in the offing, so yellow flags against three of their more appealing assets are a cause for concern. Both Rodon and Gudmundsson stand a good chance of being involved this weekend as their recent injuries are only minor, but Stach could be out for a while – although as yet unconfirmed, initial reports suggest an ankle ligament injury. There’s a chance it’s season-ending, and we certainly wouldn’t gamble on the midfielder this weekend unless Daniel Farke gives him the all-clear.
Eli Kroupi Junior: A minor muscular injury saw the Bournemouth striker withdraw from France Under-21’s camp over the international break and he remains yellow-flagged, but we suspect that he’ll be involved ahead of the Cherries’ double gameweek. That said, we prefer Danny Welbeck if you’re looking for a striker.
Chris Wood: The forgotten man of the 2025/26 FPL season, the luckless Wood is finally back in full training for Nottingham Forest and available to play after missing most of the season through injury. Players looking for a differential for the final weeks of the season should pay attention to how many minutes he plays in the Europa League on Thursday night – but he should be ready for a full 90 before too long.
Mohammed Kudus & Guglielmo Vicario: Another big FPL name who’s been out for a while could make his comeback soon – Kudus is in training and could be involved in some capacity this weekend for Roberto De Zerbi’s first game as Spurs manager, although that remains unconfirmed at the time of writing. Vicario, meanwhile, is recovering from hernia surgery and is very touch-and-go for the Sunderland match this weekend. Mathys Tel is flagged but should be fine.
Robin Roefs & Dan Ballard: Sunderland’s revelatory goalkeeper Roefs remains a doubt for the home game against Spurs but seems to have a good chance of being involved after a lengthy break to recover from a hamstring strain. Budget defender Ballard also has a hamstring issue to deal with, and sounds much less likely to feature.
