Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is getting nostalgic, and his latest decision has a bit to do with the Vikings.

Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is officially a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, which is not something this reporter saw coming just a few years ago. Seriously, you have to admit that Cousins, with his strong Christian values, is an odd fit in a town known for partying hard all night and into the early morning hours.

But, Cousins appears pumped to join the legendary Raiders, and Tom Brady and company are happy to have him. Now, Cousins has made an announcement about his new home, and it’s something that will sound familiar to his fans in Minnesota. After two years of playing for the Atlanta Falcons, one could say that he’s righting a wrong.

By the way, Cousins’ deal with the Raiders is a five-year, $172 million deal, but functions as a one-year, $20 million fully guaranteed deal for the 2026-27 season, according to statistics from ESPN. It includes “a club option for two years at $80 million and could be worth up to $172 million over five years, the source told (ESPN’s Adam) Schefter, although only the $20 million this year is fully guaranteed.”

Cousins’ career earnings, according to research from Spotrac, rank third all-time in NFL history at $321.6 million.

Ex-Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Kirk Cousins Gets His Beloved Number Back

NFL Jersey Numbers has announced that Cousins is getting his No. 8 jersey number back. Cousins played for the Vikings as No. 8, as well as at Michigan State and with the Washington Redskins/Commanders. He changed to No. 18 for his time with the Atlanta Falcons because No. 8 was taken.

But, with the Raiders, since they didn’t bring back No. 8 kicker Daniel Carlson, that number was available, and Cousins took it. “This is why they cut Carlson,” one follower said on X. Well, we wouldn’t go that far, but still.

So, he’s coming full circle. It’s worth noting that No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza wore 15 in college, so these two shouldn’t have to duke it out for No. 8.

Kirk Cousins is Officially Moving to Las Vegas

Cousins, according to a report from the real estate experts at Realtor, has officially listed his $3 million mansion located around Atlanta, Georgia, for sale. Realtor’s research shows that the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback has “listed his sprawling Atlanta-area mansion for $2.99 million two days before he was officially released by the Atlanta Falcons.”

“Though the team is widely expected to select Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in this year’s NFL draft,” Charlie Lankston of the site added, “Kubiak noted that he would prefer not to throw the 22-year-old quarterback straight into the mix and instead give him a chance to train alongside someone older.”

Lankston also says that that the timing of this particular listing means Cousins knew he wouldn’t be staying in Atlanta even before he took the Raiders position. “While news of Cousins’ exit from the Georgia-based team was not announced until March 11,” the report states, “it would seem the writing was on the wall for the 37-year-old NFL veteran, who put his enormous six-bedroom abode on the market on March 9.”
