Manchester United legend Roy Keane has revealed the three stadiums he regards as the best in Premier League history. The seven-time English top-flight winner didn't hesitate when asked to do so, picking a trio of iconic venues.
One of the grounds Keane considers to be the greatest the division has ever seen doesn't even exist anymore, having been abolished two decades ago. While a lot of stadiums in world football have become much more tame in recent years, the ex-Republic of Ireland international experiences some of the best atmospheres around.
Especially during his time as the revered captain of the Red Devils, who received a hostile reception at almost any venue they visited in the country. While he never backed down from an intense crowd, Keane still remembers his trips to some grounds extremely fondly.

The Overlap panel, consisting of Keane, Gary Neville, Wayne Rooney and Ian Wright, were discussing the best stadiums in Premier League history. While the others threw out stadiums such as Villa Park and St. James' Park, Keane was certain in his choices.
"I'd be thinking straight away; Old Trafford, Highbury and Anfield. As a player, playing there."
Firstly, Keane spent 12 years playing in front of an adoring Old Trafford crowd. It was the first stadium out of his mouth, and it's little surprise. The Irishman lifted the Premier League trophy as captain at the 74,000-seater venue an impressive four times after taking the armband from Eric Cantona.
Meanwhile, Anfield is often heralded for having one of the best atmospheres in world football. The likes of Pep Guardiola, Sir Alex Ferguson and John Terry are just some of the high-profile names to have waxed lyrical about Liverpool's iconic ground.

During his prime, Keane went head-to-head with Arsenal for many years. It's perhaps no surprise that the Sky Sports pundit has such fond memories of the iconic matches he played at the north London ground.
It was knocked down in 2006, with a block of flats now standing in its place two decades later. Keane has previously labelled it the best atmosphere he ever experienced as a player.

He couldn't resist taking a dig at a stadium he's never even played at, or more specifically, the club that calls the ground home. Rooney immediately pointed out that the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium must be the best in the country, to which Keane responded: "It'll be in the Championship next season."
