To their credit, INEOS are slowly but surely beginning to turn Manchester United's recruitment strategy into a great success.
Whilst it's taken time and a managerial departure to reflect that on the pitch, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammes have all been recent successes.
It's a stark contrast to previous windows, which saw the likes of Angel Di Maria, who has since become a pantomime villain to those at Old Trafford, arrive before more recent flops like Rasmus Hojlund and Antony.

To say that Man United were forced to learn their lesson the hard way would be an understatement, but INEOS are finally turning things around.
INEOS' next big investment on the cards at Man Utd
As if he'd been visited by three ghosts of Man United's past, Sir Jim Ratcliffe ignored his money-saving ways last summer and spent big to transform the Red Devils.
The INEOS chief invested heavily to turn their frontline from incredibly blunt to undeniably scintillating and it wouldn't be absurd to suggest that the Red Devils are the most dangerous side in transition that the Premier League has to offer right now.
It wasn't a complex transfer plan last summer, either. There wasn't a focus on European stars. They've flopped several times before at Old Trafford. And there also wasn't a focus on unproven players worth big money like Hojlund and Antony.
Instead, Man United found the perfect mix. They welcomed two proven Premier League talents in Mbeumo and Cunha - setting the foundation for their new frontline - and then invested in the future in Sesko, whilst also solving their goalkeeper problem with Lammens. All four have particularly thrived under interim boss Michael Carrick.

Mbeumo 10 3
Cunha 7 4
Sesko 10 1
It's a recruitment strategy which looks likely to continue this summer too. Indeed, according to talkSPORT, Man United are in talks to sign Elliot Anderson in a deal worth as much as £120m.
Rumours have been rife surrounding the English midfielder in the last few months and talkSPORT report that while Nottingham Forest are yet to receive any 'formal bids' for their talisman's services, both City and United 'have held talks with the player's camp'.

City are pessimistic of their chances but United are at the table so it's not a foregone conclusion.

Why Anderson would be Man Utd's best signing since Bruno Fernandes
As far as transformative signings go, Anderson would be up there alongside Bruno Fernandes.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes
If Man United drag themselves out of an era to forget, it will be Fernandes that they'll have to thank, a man who has been one of the best midfielders in the land this term. He's scored eight goals and supplied a whopping 17 assists. While many around him failed, particularly under Ruben Amorim, the Portuguese has been the one consistent thing about the Red Devils.
Well, if they manage to commence another era of success, then it could be Anderson who takes the torch from the captain.
The Nottingham Forest man, even as his side scrap away to keep hold of their top-flight status, has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League this season.
£120m may look like a hefty price this summer, but the England international would quickly prove to be worth every penny of that fee. As Casemiro heads for the exit door, Anderson would hand Man United a complete midfielder, who is perfect for the current physical-led version of English football.
Most recoveries in Europe
Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest)
Luis Milla (Getafe)
Luka Modric (AC Milan)
Mamadou Sangare (Lens)
Kaishu Sano (Mainz)
There are not many players better out of possession than Anderson in the entirety of Europe. He's not just made more ball recoveries than anyone else this season; he's done so in dominant fashion. So much so that not even the iconic Luka Modric has come close.
That's not to say Man United would be signing a one-dimensional midfielder, though. Only 13 players in Europe's top five leagues have completed more passes than Anderson so far this season and that has happened in a side unlikely to dominate possession often in Nottingham Forest.

Under Carrick, a Man United side in their full attacking flow have fired themselves to as high as third in the Premier League. Now, add a solid midfield foundation, and they could sneak their way back into the glory days.
In one £120m swoop, the Red Devils could combine Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Anderson to form one of the best midfield trios in English football next season.
