Questions Emerge About Who Took The Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini Photos

The New York Post's Page Six published photos of Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and The Athletic NFL insider Dianna Russini lounging by the pool and hugging at an Arizona resort earlier this week.

The photos sparked a ton of reaction and speculation online. Both Vrabel and Russini have claimed that Page Six's photos and report are misleading. They were just there with friends, the duo says.

"These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable," Vrabel told the New York Post. "This doesn't deserve any further response."

Russini added: "The photos don't represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues."

But who actually took the photos?

It's a fair question.

Speculation emerges regarding the photos

Were the photos taken by a random NFL fan who spotted Vrabel and Russini and then sold them to the New York Post?

Or were they taken by someone who had been following Vrabel and Russini?

"It's highly unlikely that someone in Sedona, Arizona - two hours from the site of the recent NFL annual meeting in Phoenix - was bird watching and just happened to see Vrabel and Russini in a setting that could be plausibly characterized as questionable. Common sense suggests that someone was actively looking for evidence. Whether it was a freelancer who then sold the photos to the Post or whether it was someone the Post dispatched isn't known," Pro Football Talk writes.

"Still, the photos were either harvested accidentally or by design."

There's another story here, that's for sure.
