The first night of the 2026 NFL Draft is just two weeks away, and the Browns will have the chance to add new talent to their roster.
With nine total picks in the draft, beginning with the sixth overall pick, Cleveland can address different position groups on the roster to bring in players with impactful skillsets. One of those units can be the offensive line, as their front line saw an ample amount of change during free agency.
Six of their offensive linemen became free agents when the new league year began on March 11, and the Browns quickly started to rebuild up front. They acquired T Tytus Howard in a trade with the Texans, re-signed G Teven Jenkins and signed G Zion Johnson and C/G Elgton Jenkins.
And while they made early additions in the trenches, the Browns still have the opportunity to add a young player to the mix. Cleveland holds two picks in the first round at No. 6 and No. 24, as well as an early pick in the second round at No. 39.
NFL Network's Cynthia Frelund highlighted five offensive linemen who could be in the conversation for the Browns early in the draft. Those five players included T Spencer Fano, T Monroe Freeling, T Markel Bell, G Olaivavega Ioane and G Keylan Rutledge.
Fano played in 37 career games over three seasons at Utah and earned 35 starts, including 11 at left tackle and 24 at right tackle. Fano played 822 offensive snaps during the 2025 season and allowed only five pressures in pass protection – including zero sacks and zero hits to opposing pass rushers, [according to PFF](https://www.pff.com/ncaa/players/spencer-fano/174217).
"Over 37 college games he's logged experience on both the left and right sides, which is exactly the kind of positional versatility that NFL teams covet," Frelund said. "His run blocking is equally impressive, ranking in the top 95th percentile in both pass and run plays among all tackles last season. The floor here is very high."
Freeling spent three seasons at Georgia and appeared in 35 career games. He started 13 of 14 games played during the 2025 season and anchored an offensive line that ranked sixth in the SEC in scoring offense (32.07) and fifth total offense (402.4). Freeling took 739 offensive snaps at left tackle during the 2025 season and totaled just one sack allowed and five total pressures in pass protection, [according to PFF](https://www.pff.com/ncaa/players/monroe-freeling/173548).
"Georgia's Monroe Freeling is a high-upside left tackle prospect," Frelund said. "The Browns may not be able to afford to wait until pick 24 to find out if he's available. At 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds, his film improved as the 2025 season progressed, and I'm told he was working through injuries early on. Even accounting for that, he played nearly 750 snaps and allowed just five pressures in pass protection, surrendering only one sack and zero QB hits. When you consider that production came while he wasn't fully healthy, the ceiling on Freeling becomes a very compelling conversation."
