Cowboys' Brian Schottenheimer weighs in on Dak Prescott's relationship woes

Cowboys' Brian Schottenheimer weighs in on Dak Prescott's relationship image

Dak Prescott was on a joint bachelor-bachelorette party when the whirlwind of rumors began that he and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, called off their wedding. It went from rumors to confirmed quickly, with the couple formally calling off their wedding. For now, the former couple is figuring out a custody agreement.

Cowboys' head coach Brian Schottenheimer offered his share of insight into the situation, and it doesn't seem any of it has affected the Cowboys' franchise quarterback in any way in Frisco.

“Dak and I have had a ton of conversations,'' Schottenheimer said recently. "He’s in a really good spot. Obviously, what he’s dealing with is incredibly tough."But if anyone can handle it, he can.”

The Cowboys' official offseason program hasn't kicked off yet; the team's first day of offseason workouts is scheduled for April 20, with OTAs running from June 1 through June 11 and a mandatory minicamp on June 16-18.

With the wedding now canceled, the drama has shifted to custody disputes. The former couple has "agreed to amicably negotiate a temporary custody arrangement" after Prescott filed a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR) on March 17 in Collin County, Texas.
