Oregon football’s Dante Moore details unforgettable encounter with Tom Brady

The Oregon football program is currently gearing up for the 2026 college football season, in which they will look to build on their trip to the college football playoff a season ago. Earlier this offseason, the Ducks got some good news when it was announced that star quarterback Dante Moore would be declining to take his talents to the NFL Draft and instead returning to Eugene for another season.

Recently, Moore detailed an interaction he had with legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady during a recent flag football event.

“I got to see him playing the flag football game. He's still playing like how he was. I'm just like, this is impressive… I don't know how old he is. He's just someone that's great. But he just made sure that if I had any questions – and I asked a lot of questions, because that was my chance to – so I just asked him tons of questions. He gave me a lot of information. And that was a night I’m gonna remember for the rest of my life,” Moore said, per Bri Amaranthus of Oregon Ducks on SI.

As far as mentors go, it doesn't get much better than Brady, who won seven Super Bowls during his time as an NFL quarterback with both the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“It was a very, very interesting conversation. It was my first time ever meeting in person. I was like a kid at the candy store. That's like the GOAT. He’s my role model I want to be. He’s a guy that’s a competitor and wins football games and is the greatest to do it,” Moore said.

Moore will look to put some of that knowledge to use when the 2026 college football season gets underway in September.
