Manchester City are ready to smash their transfer record this summer to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande, according to Sports Boom.
City have spent big money in recent transfer windows to rebuild their squad following the departures of top stars such as Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, with the likes of Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo arriving as recently as January.
But the club are still planning to make more additions during the summer with veteran Bernardo Silva expected to depart at the end of his contract, and a new forward is now being eyed after catching the attention of Pep Guardiola with his performances in the Bundesliga.

Diomande, who has been described as 'outrageous', has emerged as one of the most sought after young forwards in world football after bursting onto the scene at Leipzig this season, following an outstanding debut season in Germany.
The 19-year-old winger has registered 11 goals and six assists in 30 appearances for the German side, which has caught the eye of clubs such as Man Utd and Liverpool in particular, who have been keen to strengthen their forward options.
Leipzig has slapped a huge asking price on his head as a result of the interest, with reports that they will demand at least £87m to let the Ivory Coast international depart. But now Man City are understood to be considering breaking their £100m+ transfer record to bring him to the Premier League.
Manager Pep Guardiola is understood to be 'obsessed' with the teenager, and he believes that Diomande could be the focal point of the next generation of Man City. It's also understood that Diomande is open to a move to the Premier League, although his dream move would be to join Liverpool.

City have been ready to bring in players in recent windows, signing the likes of Omar Marmoush, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Nico Gonzalez, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and James Trafford since last January.
But despite question marks over the future of Guardiola, it seems they are ready to continue spending big to ensure that the squad is in the best possible shape for years to come.
Diomande's talent is undeniable, and bringing him in to work under Guardiola, who has helped to develop some of the very best wingers in football during his managerial career, would only move to make the deal be more worthwhile.
