We are deep into the offseason which means trade ideas are getting thrown all around the league.

Fox Sports made a list of possible trade ideas for a handful of teams around the NFL. One of the trade ideas sends Baltimore Ravens Cornerback Marlon Humphrey to the New York Giants. The Ravens would receive a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 conditional seventh-round pick in return.

“Humphrey, a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, will be 30 and carries a $15.25 million salary, so he might not cost more than a Day 3 pick. The Ravens will be OK in the secondary without him. And they could make this a win-win trade if they can entice Baltimore with edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux in a blockbuster deal, too.” Ralph Vacchiano wrote in the Fox Sports article.

Former Ravens Players Already Following John Harbaugh

The Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh on January 6th. Since then, Harbaugh has agreed to become the next head coach for the New York Giants signing a five-year deal on January 15th. A fair share of former Baltimore Ravens players has followed John Harbaugh to the Big Apple.

Former Baltimore Ravens personnel following Harbaugh includes:

Patrick Ricard, Fullback

Isaiah Likely, Tight End

Daniel Faalele, Offensive Lineman

Jordan Stout, All-Pro Punter

Ar’Darius Washington, Cornerback

Chris Horton, Special Team Coordinator

The Ravens hired Jesse Minter as their new head coach on January 22nd, 2026, serving as John Harbaugh’s replacement. Minter previously served as the Los Angeles Chargers‘ defensive coordinator.

John Harbaugh is making a few lateral moves as he aims to steer the Giants in the right direction. As for the Ravens, Minter will look to lead Baltimore back to the playoffs after the Ravens missed the postseason in 2025.

Trading Marlon Humphrey would not be a wild trade considering many believe he is on the decline as an elite cornerback.

Marlon Humphrey and the Baltimore Ravens Defense

In 2025, Marlon Humphrey allowed 817 total yards in coverage, according to PFF. He allowed 67 receptions which ranked first in the NFL last year while allowing 58.4 yards per game. Marlon Humphrey is a three-time Pro Bowler and a 2019 All-Pro selection. He attended the University of Alabama in which he was a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

“His PFF coverage grade of 43.8 ranked 112th among 114 qualified cornerbacks. His run-defense grade of 78.9 ranked 9th at the position.” The PFF website says.

“He recorded 4 interceptions on the season. Humphrey broke up 7 passes in coverage. He allowed a 90.9 passer rating when targeted by opposing quarterbacks. He surrendered 67 receptions in coverage. He also contributed 57 solo tackles in run support and open-field situations.”

The Ravens ranked 24th in total defense during the 2025 season. Baltimore was the 10th ranked defense against the run. They were the 30th ranked defense against the pass. Though the team was talented on both sides of the ball, they failed to live up to the high expectations of the 2025 season.

Defensively, the Ravens had trouble generating pressure with a 30% pass rush win rate in 2025. According to ESPN, the win rate ranked 28th in the league.
