Charles Omenihu Contract

GettyDefensive end Charles Omenihu signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders in March 2026, valued at up to $7 million.

When listing his top five scariest quarterbacks to face, Omenihu went out of his way to go into depth about how good he thinks Williams is.

“If I had to do one more, I’ve gotta put my dawg Caleb Williams up there. I ain’t gonna lie to you, bro [Emmanuel Acho]. Somebody that has shown over and over and over that it ain’t over until the fat lady sings. And he can run! And he can make every throw! Every single throw,”Omenihu proclaimed. “I respect his game like crazy…he’s throwing dots, and then he’s going cold-shoulder on ya.”

Williams’ 2025 season was impressive and deserved praise. But if the Bears want to reach the Super Bowl with him, he’s going to have to continue to improve. His head coach knows this and recently set a lofty expectation for him in year three.

Ben Johnson Expects Caleb Williams To Have the Best Completion Percentage In Bears History

In an interview withBearswire, Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson discussed what Caleb Williams needs to do next year to improve. One of the areas he focused on was completion percentage. Last season, Williams completed just58.1% of his throws,34thamong all active quarterbacks. It was the worst among QBs who started more than 10 games.

Williams Completion Drop

GettyChicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams’ completion percentage dropped 4.4% in 2025 from his rookie season.

“If we want to be elite, we want to be at that 70 percent marker,”Johnson stated. “I think when you look at it, for us to get to 65 percent completion even, cut that in half, we need to find 40 more completions over the course of the season. Well, let me tell you something. When you watch the self-scout, there’s 80, 90, 100 completions we left out on the table. And I’m not just talking about passes dropped.”

No Bears quarterback has ever had higher than a67 percent completion rate across a full season. For Williams to cross into the 70 percent range, he would be crossing off another Bears milestone.

Seven of them were on the defensive side of the ball. General manager Ryan Poles knows that the offense is in good hands with Ben Johnson at the helm, and the defense will need to hold up their end of the stick. With the2026 NFL Draft right around the corner, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Chicago continue to lean into rounding out that unit.
