Report: Nicolas Jackson appears to have made a decision on his Chelsea future

AC Milan have identified Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as a primary summer target, and it looks as if it could be a move that he would entertain this summer.

Nicolas Jackson moved to the Bundesliga to show Chelsea what they’re missing out on, but it has had quite the opposite effect on his career.

The Senegalese striker has failed to trigger the mandatory 25-game appearance clause required for a permanent £56 million transfer, so he will return to Stamford Bridge.

Bayern are unlikely to pursue a separate deal, meaning Jackson will return this June.

Chelsea already have Emanuel Emegha making his way to the club in the summer, meaning that Jackson could potentially be a fourth choice depending on what happens with Liam Delap.

You can only pick ONE, Chelsea fans 👀

Nicolas Jackson leaning towards a move away

A report from Corriere dello Sport claims that Jackson will return to Chelsea to leave for other shores more pleasing to him, suggesting that he doesn’t want to be at Stamford Bridge.

One option could be AC Milan, who could try and negotiate to try to snatch him on loan with a ransom at important figures if Chelsea sees fit.

It’s interesting because it had previously been reported that a decision on Jackson hasn’t been made by Chelsea themselves, with another loan a possibility.

But you can’t blame him for wanting to leave after being messed about in the summer, as the Chelsea owners tried to ruin his dream move to Germany after Liam Delap’s injury.

Say Chelsea can only strengthen in one position this summer, which ONE would you choose?👀

A part of us wants to see Nicolas Jackson given a chance

Despite the allure of an AC Milan move, there is a compelling case for Liam Rosenior to integrate Nicolas Jackson into Chelsea’s upcoming pre-season tour.

After a mixed year at Bayern Munich, Jackson returns with even more European experience that could finally stabilise Chelsea’s erratic frontline.

In his 2023–24 maiden campaign, Jackson netted 14 goals and provided 5 assists, a tally that surpassed the debut seasons of legendary Chelsea strikers like Didier Drogba.

As well as this, his record is rather impressive, with 34 direct goal involvements in 65 Premier League games.
