Fernandez 'makes peace' with Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has “made peace” with the club’s hierarchy, according to his agent Javier Pastore." href="https://www.footballtransfers.com/en/transfer-news/uk-premier-league/2026/04/chelsea-transfer-news-enzo-fernandez-javier-pastore-made-peace" target="_blank">Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has “made peace” with the club’s hierarchy, according to his agent Javier Pastore.
Fernandez was internally suspended for two games after comments surrounding a potential move to Real Madrid and, while his agent had admittted his disappointment over the ban, the issue appears to have been resolved this week.
Speaking to French outlet Top Mercato, Pastore said: “What happened, happened. We explained to the player that, even if he did nothing wrong, he should not have said that. He is only 25 years old. He is still young and still has things to learn.
“We explained to the club that he said it without any malice and that he was wrong to do so. He naturally apologised to the club, his teammates, the manager, the sporting director, everyone. We are all on the same page. It was simply a matter of clearing up a misunderstanding.
“We are on the same wavelength with Chelsea. We made peace yesterday and the day before between Chelsea and the player. There was never really a problem. We have cleared things up.”

Numerous clubs have watched Coulibaly including Real Madrid, Manchester United and PSG but Chelsea have stepped up their interest in the 18-year-old sensation and have been told that the defender will be moving on this summer.
Sky Sport Deutschland transfer insider Florian Plettenberg reports on X: “Chelsea have entered the race for the 18-year-old talented centre-back Karim Coulibaly, who is seen as a top talent with huge potential. Chelsea are very impressed with his development.
“A summer move is 100% planned. Several top clubs are scouting him, including Real Madrid, Man Utd, Newcastle, PSG and Napoli.
“Werder Bremen are still hoping for a fee of €40-50m.”
Chelsea interested in Barcelona star
Chelsea have reportedly rekindled their interest in Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window." href="https://www.footballtransfers.com/en/transfer-news/uk-premier-league/2026/04/chelsea-transfer-news-marc-casado-barcelona-enzo-fernandez-replacement-summer-2026" target="_blank">Chelsea have reportedly rekindled their interest in Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window.
The Blues were heavily linked with a move for the Spaniard last year and they are now ready to accelerate their pursuit of his signature amid the uncertain future of vice-captain Enzo Fernandez.
Spanish publication Fichajes now claim that Casado has re-emerged as a summer target for the west London giants, with the 22-year-old allegedly considering his future in Barcelona.
The Blues believe that Casado would be an excellent addition to Rosenior’s squad and it’s claimed that a bargain fee of just €26 million could be enough to finalise a deal as Barcelona look to raise money to fund a transfer for Julian Alvarez.
Acheampong transfer stance revealed
Chelsea have ‘no plans’ to sell Josh Acheampong this summer despite concerns over the defender’s game time under Liam Rosenior." href="https://www.footballtransfers.com/en/transfer-news/uk-premier-league/2026/04/chelsea-transfer-news-josh-acheampong-liam-rosenior-enzo-maresca-summer-2026" target="_blank">Chelsea have ‘no plans’ to sell Josh Acheampong this summer despite concerns over the defender’s game time under Liam Rosenior.

Acheampong was surprisingly not included in the starting line-up for Chelsea’s win over Port Vale in the FA Cup last week which fuelled speculation that the 19-year-old could push to leave the club this summer in search of more first team minutes.
Clubs are believed to be interested in the defender but football.london" href="https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/chelseas-transfer-stance-clear-after-33732086" target="_blank">football.london report that Chelsea are ‘adamant’ that Acheampong is a part of their long-term vision.
In spite of the stance, Chelsea are still set to make a right-sided centre-back a priority target for the summer transfer window, suggesting that Acheampong may face a fight if he is to break into Rosenior’s team anytime soon.
