Arsenal told Champions League star is not for sale

Arsenal will hope to take a huge step towards the Premier League title by beating Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Gunners currently sit nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, although second-placed Manchester City do have a game-in-hand.

Mikel Arteta’s side returned to winning ways in the Champions League on Tuesday, with a late strike from Kai Havertz earning them a narrow 1-0 victory.

Ahead of Saturday’s match, it has emerged that Arsenal have been informed that one of their top transfer targets will not be available this summer.

According to CaughtOffside, the Gunners have made enquiries about Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but have been informed that the Georgian is not for sale.

It is claimed that the north London side had asked about the availability of the winger, who scored a superb goal against Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Kvaratskhelia, 25, joined PSG from Italian giants Napoli last summer, having enjoyed three hugely successful seasons in Naples.

Since moving to Paris, the Georgia international has scored 21 goals and registered 16 assists in 71 games for the French club across all competitions.

It is claimed that Chelsea are one of at least three Premier League sides that have registered an interest in the attacker, but the Champions League holders are adamant that he is not for sale.

While the report does suggest that Arsenal could change PSG’s stance with an offer in the region of £155 million, it is also claimed that the Gunners are extremely unlikely to table such a proposal.

The Georgian’s contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of the 2028/29 season, and it appears that the former Napoli man’s future definitely lies in the French capital.
