The Seattle Seahawks could address the cornerback position in the upcoming draft following the departure of Riq Woolen. The Seahawks re-signed Josh Jobe, the de facto number two who played the most snaps in 2025, to a three-year, $24 million contract. The issue is that the Seahawks’ depth, aside from Jobe and Devon Witherspoon, is thin and still needs help at outside corner since the defense likes to move Witherspoon around.

According to Jordan Reid of ESPN, the Seahawks will host South Carolina standout cornerback Brandon Cisse for a 30-visit. He is close friends with Nick Emmanwori, a relationship that began when they were teammates in high school seven-on-seven in South Carolina. Cisse and Emmanwori did not go to the same high school and were not teammates at South Carolina.
Cisse possesses freak athleticism, running a 4.40 40-yard dash, recording a 41″ vertical jump and a 10’11” broad jump, and scoring a near-perfect 9.24 Relative Athletic Score. He is also a strong run defender and solid tackler, offering versatility in man and zone coverage, though his ball skills need work, with only two career interceptions. He is considered a late first- early second-round pick.

Here’s a quick review of his college career

Brandon Cisse committed to NC State as a three-star recruit for the 2023 season. He became a full-time starter in his sophomore campaign after a reserve role as a true freshman. Cisse recorded 28 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, and five pass deflections across nine starts. He wrapped up his tenure with 38 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, one interception, and five pass breakups across 34 games.
Brandon Cisse transferred to South Carolina for the 2025 season. He enjoyed a solid junior year, recording 27 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, one interception, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble across 12 games. Cisse also posted five missed tackles, 13 run stops, and allowed 361 passing yards, one touchdown, and a 78.9 passer rating.
“Teams will be willing to take a chance on Cisse’s explosive athleticism and upside, but a refinement runway might be needed to smooth some of the rougher edges. He’s scheme-versatile in coverage and is an A-rated run supporter. Work ethic and athletic testing will work in his favor.
“However, a lack of instincts and break anticipation could cost him in coverage against quality route runners. His press will become a more effective weapon with technical work and his route recognition should improve with more reps. Cisse’s traits and competitiveness are clear selling points, but a lack of on-ball production and coverage consistency create a more volatile floor.”
He projects as an average starter.
