Analyst makes bold Browns QB claim for 2026

The Cleveland Browns' quarterback room is perhaps one of the most fascinating groups to watch over the next handful of months.

With Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Deshaun Watson, the players Todd Monken has at his disposal, who will separate themselves to be the starter in 2026?

Everyone has their thoughts on who it should be, and for most, it isn't Watson.

And for ESPN's Kevin Clark, when asked if Sanders should be the Browns starter in 2026, he gave a definitive response.

"Yeah, absolutely," Clark said on ESPN's GetUp. "I wouldn't bring anybody else into that room, I would not include Deshaun Watson in this quarterback competition. I think it should be Dillon Gabriel vs. Shedeur in camp. Maybe he's not your franchise guy for the next 10 years, but in 2026, let's see what he can do."

Should Sanders be Browns starter?

Well, we already know what the Browns have in Watson, so that isn't an option. Of Sanders and Gabriel, Shedeur showed far more last season.

Plus, he was the starter for the last handful of games last season, and he clearly has the most upside.

What Clark stated is right, let's see what Sanders has in 2026. He might not be the long-term option, but the only way you will know is if you play him for a prolonged period to see what he can actually do.

Is it Sanders' job in 2026? Clark thinks it should be, and so do I.
