Depot After Dark: Draft Parking Spots, Falcons OL Retires, Browns HC Wants To Change Culture

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for April 9.

DRAFT PARKING SPOTS

While Pittsburgh isn’t one of the biggest cities, it’s still densely populated. That will be even more true during the draft in a few weeks. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend. That might make maneuvering around tricky for those few days.

However, Pittsburgh is preparing for that. Parking is one of the biggest issues for people who plan on being at the draft. JustPark recently announced that hundreds of parking spots in Pittsburgh are now available to reserve. It will cost an average of $87.25 per day. Some fans might want to get a jump on securing their spot if they plan on driving around Pittsburgh during the draft.

FALCONS OL RETIRES

The 2026 NFL schedule isn’t out yet, but teams know who they’ll be facing. The Steelers will face the NFC South teams this year, including the Atlanta Falcons. While the Falcons have some quality talent, they’ve struggled in recent years. Now, they have a new head coach in Kevin Stefanski, but they’ve also lost one of their best pieces up front.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport shared on Twitter that Falcons offensive lineman Kaleb McGary has retired. The Falcons spent a first-round pick on him in 2019, and he’s been a staple of their offensive line since then. Although he’s only 31 years old, he’s calling it a career.

BROWNS HC WANTS TO CHANGE CULTURE

The AFC North has often been regarded as one of the NFL’s best divisions. The Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and Cincinnati Bengals are usually in the mix in the AFC playoff picture. However, the Cleveland Browns are rarely in that conversation. They’ve been one of the league’s biggest losers for the last 20 years. Todd Monken, their new head coach, wants to change that, though.

Around the NFL posted on Twitter that Monken plans on changing the Browns’ culture through winning. That usually solves everything, but it’s easier said than done. Every Browns head coach before him has also planned on winning. We’ll see if Monken can make that a reality.
