Harry Maguire might have penned fresh terms to extend his Manchester United stay, but this is otherwise gearing up for something of a seismic summer again in terms of outgoing at Old Trafford.
Seven-goal hero, Casemiro, has already confirmed that he will be moving on at the expiry of his contract, while midfield colleague Manuel Ugarte is also attracting interest from afar, having failed to start a single Premier League game under head coach Michael Carrick.
Looking at United's crop of loanees too, Rasmus Hojlund is set to join Napoli on a permanent basis, Jadon Sancho appears in line for a return to Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer, while Marcus Rashford could be staying put at Barcelona on a permanent basis.

With Carrick back at the helm, there has been a clamour for Rashford to return to Manchester for next season, although this summer appears the best time for a definite parting of ways for the 28-year-old.
Why Man Utd need to sell Marcus Rashford this summer
Ruben Amorim's turbulent start to the campaign aside, it's been a quieter season as far as narratives are concerned at United, particularly with Rashford no longer in the equation.
Marcus Rashford under Ruben Amorim
The England star had been an increasingly tiring talking point over previous years, be it by his own doing or not, fluctuating between the highs of his 30-goal 2022/23 season, to the lows of his off-field issues under both Erik ten Hag and, latterly, under Amorim.
United, now sitting pretty in third, haven't exactly yearned for Rashford even amid the lack of depth on the left flank, while as for the forward himself, he has looked refreshed after 18 months away from the Old Trafford spotlight.
After encouraging signs at Aston Villa in the back end of last season, 'Rashy' has kicked on again in Catalonia, even while not a guaranteed starter, racking up 24 goals and assists in 41 games in all competitions for the LaLiga giants.

It is that form which may have some at United itching to bring him back into the fold, yet for his own sake, why disrupt this recent momentum by returning to the toxicity that plagued his final days in Manchester?
He was at one stage the golden boy under Louis van Gaal, but at 28, he is approaching a key junction in his career, with returning to United likely to be seen as something of a backward step.
As far as INEOS are concerned too, there might be a desire to shift those they inherited, following the takeover in 2024.
Man Utd need to cash in on the new Rashford
First and foremost, the INEOS regime look set to quickly amend their own transfer mistakes with Joshua Zirkzee and the aforementioned Ugarte, both signed in that summer of 2024, looking destined for a change of scenery.

INEOS could see £35m bid accepted to sign Rashford replacement at Man Utd
There has been talk of a Marcus Rashford return at Old Trafford, although Man Utd need to look elsewhere.
In the Uruguayan's case, it's been a largely forgettable two years so far, while his most recent five-game run of starts in December and January saw United win just once.
A swift exit is certainly needed, although if the Red Devils are to kick on under this new regime, a greater priority might be to move on those who have been here far longer, with Luke Shaw unfortunately entering the 'outstayed his welcome' territory.
Another long-serving England international at United, much like Rashford, Shaw has actually enjoyed a positive season by his recent standards, starting every top-flight game after shaking off his prior injury woes.
That being said, now 12 years on from his £28m arrival from Southampton, there is a feeling that his prime years are behind him, having rarely exerted himself in an attacking sense this season.
Manchester United's Luke Shaw reacts after sustaining an injury
It was ironically alongside Rashford that Shaw's best was seen in the past, his most fruitful Premier League campaign coming in 2020/21, as he chipped in with five goals and assists as a flying full-back.
A one-time teenage wonderkid, like Rashford, the 30-year-old is no longer that marauding presence down the left flank, even while returning to his natural left-back berth after a brief spell as a left-sided centre-back under Amorim.
Indeed, in 31 league games this season, he has just one assist to his name, creating just a solitary 'big chance' and averaging only 0.5 key passes per game.
For comparison, the cream of the crop when it comes to left-backs, in the form of Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes, has recorded four goals, five assists, 11 'big chances' created and an average of 1.6 key passes per game in Ligue 1.
The 23-year-old Portugal star is the standard, and Shaw just isn't anywhere close these days, despite his creditable consistency, with United needing to ensure that they aren't putting too much stock in former glory, both in the case of the Englishman and with Rashford.
Of course, showcasing a sense of ruthlessness by moving on relatively recent signings like Ugarte is a clear way to try to set a new standard at Old Trafford.

But, more importantly, the INEOS hierarchy might need to clear the decks when it comes to the longer-serving figures, like Shaw and Rashford, who have endured a turbulent time of it under a succession of managers now in Manchester.
