Enzo Fernandez’s agent, former PSG star Javier Pastore, has sparked fresh uncertainty over the midfielder’s long-term future at Chelsea.
The comments, made in the wake of Enzo Fernandez’s recent two-match suspension for crossing a line with his praise of Madrid, highlight a disconnect between the player’s camp and the club’s hierarchy.
While Pastore was quick to label Chelsea‘s disciplinary action as completely unfair, he also revealed that contract renewal talks broke down earlier this year due to the club failing to meet his expectations.
With the 25-year-old vice-captain reportedly apologising this week to smooth things over with Liam Rosenior, the pressure is now squarely on the Blues to deliver European competition if they want to prevent their record signing from exploring other options after this summer’s World Cup.
Clearlake will NOT sell Chelsea, they are prepared to buy out Todd Boehly and increase their stake even more 💰
What do you make of this?

In an interview with Onde Mondial, Fernandez’s agent, Javier Pastore gave a full interview on the midfielder, where he touched on his client’s intentions at Chelsea.
“He’ll play in the World Cup this summer and finish the season with Chelsea. Now, we’re waiting for Chelsea to qualify for the Champions League because he wants to play in the best competitions and he’s a winner, and then we’ll see.
“He’s very happy at Chelsea. He’s captain and is already in his third year here. Honestly, these are the best years of his career and he feels good there.
“I live in Madrid, so everyone says he’s going to Madrid… but it’s more press hype than anything else.”
Say Chelsea can only strengthen in one position this summer, which ONE would you choose?👀

Liam Rosenior has extra pressure on his shoulders
After originally stating they’ll stand by Liam Rosenior even if Chelsea don’t secure Champions League football for next season, it now looks as if a lot more rides on qualification.
It’s now likely Rosenior will be relieved of his duties if a top-five spot isn’t secured, but that isn’t the only thing he has to worry about now.
The Argentine’s agent, Javier Pastore, has linked Fernandez’s future to the club’s success, suggesting that the vice-captain will explore other options if Chelsea fails to qualify for the Champions League.
