ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported defensive back Treydan Stukes will visit the Seattle Seahawks for a pre-draft visit.
The Seattle Seahawks have a couple holes to fill in their secondary. But it’s possible the Seahawks try to fill those voids with just one versatile rookie.
Seattle is certainly doing their homework on a defensive back that fits that profile. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Thursday the team will host Arizona cornerback Treydan Stukes on a pre-draft visit.
Fowler also posted on X the defensive back plans to meet with the Kansas City Chiefs. Furthermore, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who hyped the defensive back’s versatility, reported Stukes will meet with seven other teams prior to the 2026 NFL Draft in two weeks.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein raved about Stukes’s versatility along with his leadership qualities. Stukes spent six years in college developing his voice as a team captain with the Wildcats.
“Sixth-year senior and team captain who went from walk-on to unquestioned leader of his defense,” wrote Zierlein. “Stukes combines his infectious passion with hours of preparation that allow him to play fast.
“Coaches will love his football character and versatility as a big nickelback or split safety.”
Where DB Treydan Stukes Could Land in the 2026 NFL Draft

Based on his NFL draft scouting report, there likely isn’t a football coach in the league who wouldn’t want Stukes in their locker room. He’s a lead-by-example, passionate team guy who can play multiple spots in the secondary.
In summary, he’s an ideal depth football player for the NFL level.
How NFL teams measure those intangibles, though, is hard to gauge. Stukes didn’t make the top 50 big board from NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah.
Because of his journey at Arizona, though, it’s hard to count out Stukes. He played just three games as a walk-on true freshman. By his senior year, he was a team captain.
In 2025, he returned from a torn ACL from the year prior. Last season, Stukes had 52 combined tackles, six pass defenses and a career-high four interceptions.
He will turn 25 in September. His age is a significant negative.
But he will have had plenty of pre-draft visits before the first round. If manages to showcase his leadership qualities in those interviews, that’s probably going to really help his draft stock.
Why Stukes Could Fit With the Seahawks

In 2026 NFL free agency, the Seahawks lost safety Coby Bryant and cornerback Riq Woolen. To replace them, Seattle signed safety D’Anthony Bell and cornerback Noah Igbinoghene.
While Igbinoghene could play in the slot, the Seahawks likely added Bell for roster depth. Seattle could still use another safety and even an extra cornerback for depth.
Stukes could serve both roles.
Versatility is always a valuable attribute, but it could be particularly meaningful for Seattle in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Seahawks only have four 2026 draft picks, including just three in the first three rounds. Running back and edge rusher are two other positions Seattle could address because of free agency losses.
It will be much easier for the Seahawks to target a running back and edge rusher if the team can add a defensive back capable of playing both cornerback and safety.
Stukes played 52 games in his college career. He posted 206 combined tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 29 pass defenses and seven interceptions.
