Arsenal U21s look to finish regular season strongly against Crystal Palace

Arsenal U21s will conclude their regular season on Monday night when they take on their Crystal Palace counterparts away in a game that will be played at Sutton United’s ground.

In terms of results, it has been an inconsistent campaign for Max Porter’s team who have conceded more goals than they have scored.

Despite that, the young Gunners have already managed to secure their place in the end of season playoffs, which is also the case for Palace.

Arsenal are currently in 11th place in the table but a victory against Palace could potentially see them finish in the top eight and earn a home game in the first playoff fixture.

Marli Salmon and Andre Harriman-Annous have been part of the first-team matchday squad for the past two games but it’s possible that the pair could be back involved for the U21s against Palace.

Salmon is still only 16 but the defender has enjoyed another excellent campaign in his development, which has encompassed him getting game time at first-team, U21, U19 and U18 levels.

Harriman-Annous has also featured for all four of the aforementioned sides and it will be interesting to see what Arsenal have planned for the next stage of his development.

For now, though, Arsenal’s focus will be on attempting to get the better of Palace as this group of players look to provide another indication of what they are capable of.
