Alejandro Garnacho has lifted the lid on is decision to leave Manchester United behind and join Chelsea last summer. And despite any past controversies he endured at Old Trafford, the Argentinian has no bad blood for his old club.
Garnacho, 21, moved to Stamford Bridge in a £40million move last summer after falling out with ex-United boss Ruben Amorim. However, his stay at Stamford Bridge has taken a slight turn for the worse under Liam Rosenior, who replaced Enzo Maresca at the helm in January.
The Blues are currently in the midst of a difficult patch after exiting the Champions League and a string of tough league results. However, that hasn't dampened Garnacho's spirits nor his belief the west Londoners can recover.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, he said: "We know the team we have, the things we can do. Sometimes is better in some moments, and worse. But yeah, I’m really proud to be here in this moment.
"The life here is normal, and I’m happy. But yeah, at United [I] have nothing wrong to say about the club or any team-mates, no-one. Just a moment [in] life changed. My life continued. So we have to keep looking forward."
Garnacho has slipped down the pecking order since Rosenior arrived at Chelsea at the start of this year. He's scored just once in the Premier League this term, suggesting the grass wasn't necessarily greener in the capital.

His decline is illustrated by recent reports suggesting he's currently a loan target for River Plate. And while his supposed suitors are one of the most prestigious teams in South America, the fact they feel his signature is within reach sums up the current state of affairs.
River Plate boss Eduardo Coudet is even alleged to have contacted Garnacho personally in pursuit of a deal. TyC reported Los Millonarios are pursuing a year-long loan for the player, and Chelsea could be receptive to the short-term arrangement.
Garnacho's struggles at Old Trafford stemmed largely from his awkward relationship with former boss Amorim. The winger angered fans with several public comments on posts sowing tension with his old chief.
He once posted a picture of himself wearing a Marcus Rashford Aston Villa jersey after his ex-teammate was sent to Birmingham on loan. And Garnacho's brother also stirred the pot with some inflammatory posts about the situation.
The Argentina international was also viewed as disruptive when he spoke out about the manager's decision to drop him from key games last year. In the end, it was decided a split would be best for all parties.
Garnacho still has time on his side to restore his status at Stamford Bridge, with a contract running until 2032. However, it may take a move away from Chelsea (at least temporarily) to get his trajectory back on track.
