Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is the latest name to share a verdict on the work Michael Carrick has been doing for the club.
With just seven games left until this season ends, Michael Carrick looks like Manchester United’s top priority and is leading the race to become the next permanent head coach.
Not only is Carrick doing the job on the pitch, but he is also winning over supporters and the current group of players.
Now, David de Gea has given his verdict on Carrick.

David de Gea praises Michael Carrick for work at Manchester United
Carrick played with and coached De Gea at United, with the two club legends even winning the Premier League together in 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
On Thursday night, De Gea was in Nottingham for a Conference League clash and afterwards was quizzed on his thoughts about Carrick by TNT Sports.
“He is doing an unbelievable job. He’s a great guy, and he knows how the players feel, so it is easy to talk with him.

“So he’s doing an amazing job, United are winning a lot of games, playing well.
“Hopefully, they can get a Champions League spot and keep going. Let’s see United in the high positions competing for trophies.”
De Gea’s praise for Carrick is the latest endorsement in a long line from players past and present.

De Gea isn’t the only United player from the past and present to praise Carrick.
Wayne Rooney has also endorsed Carrick to become the head coach at the end of this season, claiming that the job should be his.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire has hailed the impact of Carrick on the team and on him personally since arriving.
Nicky Butt has claimed Carrick is the easy option for United now, with his performance almost making him undeniable.
Another endorsement came as Amad claimed Carrick was the right man for the job, clearly impressed by the head coach since his arrival.
