Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs co-owner, CEO and chairman Clark Hunt, is engaged to Derek Green, the son of former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green.
The happy couple shared the news via a joint Instagram post on April 4, featuring a carousel of photos from the proposal, with the caption “It was always you” alongside a ring, heart and infinity symbol emoji.

The photos included a close-up of Hunt’s elongated cushion-cut diamond engagement ring, featuring two green emeralds on either side of the central stone, as well as snaps of the couple’s families.
The engagement came less than one year after Green and Hunt went public with their relationship in May 2025.

Derek Green is the son of former Super Bowl champion quarterback Trent Green, making him bona fide American football royalty – much like his fiancée, who is the heiress to her father’s US$6.8 billion NFL empire.
Trent Green – who played for five teams throughout his career, most notably the Kansas City Chiefs – tied the knot with his wife, Julie Green, in 1997. They went on to welcome sons Derek and T.J Green.
