Simeone, responding to Barcelona’s complaint, noted: ‘We’re accustomed to that in Madrid.’

The Argentine coach noted, “Are you complaining about the pressure from Real Madrid? I haven’t complained. I was simply responding to a comment about Barcelona and said we’re accustomed to this in Madrid.”

On goalkeeper Oblak’s fitness, he said, “He’s not yet ready to travel with us. He’s very keen, and we’ve had a good chat with him. He’s a very important player for the team and we need him. We hope he’ll be ready on Tuesday.”

On Sevilla’s possible relegation, he admitted, “It’s more complex than a simple answer. I’m not in a position to explain everything that’s happening.”

He added, “Sevilla was a significant part of my career and my life; the way they treated me and how I lived in the city – I wish them all the best, and hope that tomorrow we can put in the performance we want.”

Atlético currently sit fourth in La Liga with 57 points, while Sevilla, in 17th, have 31.
