Former Jets quarterback dead at 57 after cancer battle

Former New York Jets quarterback Browning Nagle has died at the age of 57 after a battle with colon cancer.

Nagle, who is also remembered as a Fiesta Bowl legend during his time with Louisville, spent five years in the NFL and also had stints with the Falcons and Colts.

The tragic news was confirmed by his alma mater, who said in a statement on X: 'We are saddened by the passing of Browning Nagle, former Fiesta Bowl MVP quarterback and Louisville great.

'His leadership on the field and passion for the game left a lasting mark on our program. Our thoughts are with his loved ones and teammates during this time.'
