Three Paths the Baltimore Ravens Can Go With Pick 14

The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, and the Baltimore Ravens 14th overall pick has become one of the most intriguing storylines of the first round. As the franchise evaluates its Ravens draft options under a new coaching regime, general manager Eric DeCosta faces a decision that could reshape the team’s long‑term direction.

With several realistic Ravens first‑round targets emerging across mock drafts and league reports, Baltimore enters draft night with three distinct paths that could define the next phase of its championship window.

Kenyon Sadiq, Tight End, Oregon

Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq Declares for the 2026 NFL Draft - TheRX

Kenyon Sadiq is as one of the most explosive athletes at the tight end position in recent memory. Over the past few weeks, buzz around Baltimore targeting Sadiq at No. 14 has intensified as ESPN’s Matt Miller even connected the Ravens directly to him.

"Lets give Lamar Jackson some help. … [Kenyon Sadiq] can be that redzone threat that the Ravens really used Isaiah Likely as the last two years."

Sadiq led Oregon with 51 receptions, eight touchdowns, and 560 yards in 2025. He earned Second‑Team All‑American honors and the Big Ten Tight End of the Year award. His 4.39‑second 40‑yard dash at the combine was the fastest by a tight end since 2003.

Sadiq’s versatility fits Baltimore’s offense perfectly. He can line up in the slot like Isaiah Likely. Plus, his run‑blocking prowess complements the Ravens’ heavy two‑tight‑end sets. The lingering question: how would his arrival affect Baltimore’s reported interest in free agent David Njoku. He has visited team facilities and could pair with Mark Andrews.

If DeCosta breaks from his usual late‑round tight end strategy, this would mark Baltimore’s first first‑round tight end since 2018, a potential signal of a new draft philosophy under fresh leadership.

Jordyn Tyson, Wide Receiver, Arizona State

2026 Dynasty Rookie Early Look: Jordyn Tyson, WR Arizona State ...

Jordyn Tyson has emerged as a potential “X” receiver for the Ravens after a productive career at Arizona State under the tutelage of former NFL star Hines Ward.

In 2025, Tyson recorded 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns across nine games. This followed a breakout 2024 campaign where he tallied 1,101 yards and 10 scores.

Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network recently described Tyson as a “fun new weapon” for the Baltimore offense. Alongside Sadiq, Tyson is viewed as a “50-50 shot at No.14” according to ESPN’s Matt Miller.

What we're hearing about the Ravens' draft: The Ravens have been connected to two pass catchers in Sadiq and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State). There might be a 50-50 shot of Sadiq being on the board at No. 14, but the idea of Tyson or Omar Cooper Jr. (Indiana) at wide…

Tyson would be the running mate to Zay Flowers in the receiving game and at his 6 ‘2 frame, he would be a great option for Lamar Jackson for his jump ball ability with a 67% contested catch rate in 2024.

The problems arrive when you look at Jordyn Tyson’s entire career, and that includes his injury history. Tyson has overcome a lot of adversity, returning from a torn ACL, MCL and PCL in his freshman season at Colorado.

It’s evident the knee isn’t a problem here but over his last two seasons at Tempe, he was amazing on the field but wasn’t out there as much as he liked. Tyson had to sit out the 2024 College Football Playoffs due to suffering a broken collarbone and missed three games last season due to a hamstring strain, when he did end up returning it was noticeable that Tyson wasn’t at full strength.

Tyson’s hamstring has still been a lingering concern since he hasn’t worked out at the NFL Combine or at Arizona State’s Pro Day because of it. Although it has been reported that Tyson will be hosting a private workout

Baltimore has gambled on medically risky prospects before, but never with its top pick. Tyson’s upside is undeniable, yet the Ravens must weigh whether a win‑now roster can afford that risk when similar big‑bodied receivers may be available later.

Vega Ioane, Offensive Guard, Penn State

Penn State guard Vega Ioane to skip bowl game, declare for 2026 NFL ...

Olaivavega Ioane is widely considered the cleanest offensive line prospect in the 2026 class. The 6-foot-4, 330-pound guard was a dominant force for Penn State last season, playing 614 offensive snaps without allowing a single sack or quarterback hit. He was named a second-team All-American for his efforts.

Ioane has been the most popular mock draft selection for the Ravens this spring. Analysts point to Baltimore’s need to refurbish the interior of its offensive line following a volatile offseason.

Many believe Ioane’s physical playing style perfectly matches the Ravens’ organizational identity. Especially with how Baltimore is planning to revamp an offensive line that looked abysmal at times last season with new Offensive Line Coach, Dwayne Ledford. With Ledford also being reported to be at Penn State’s Pro Day to get another look at Ioane.

Ioane has the makings of being Day 1 starter at his natural position of Right Guard with a remarkably high floor. Coming from a similar zone run scheme with the Nittany lions would make the transition from college to the pros easier for Vega.

Yet the Ravens already invested heavily at guard. Theysigned John Simpson (three years, $30 million) and drafted Emery Jones Jr. last year. If Ioane joins the mix, training camp could feature one of the most competitive position battles on the roster.

The Defining Decision

Whether DeCosta bets on the elite athleticism of Kenyon Sadiq, the playmaking of Jordyn Tyson, or the reliable pass protection of Vega Ioane, the 14th pick will define this new coaching era.

Each prospect offers a different path: whether through an explosive aerial evolution or a steadier presence in the trenches. In a wide-open championship window, the Ravens must ensure this choice isn’t just a draft-day win, but one of the final pieces to their Super Bowl puzzle.
