The future ofLas Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby remains a topic of discussion as the NFL Draft approaches on April 23. As a result, Crosby’s name has been in trade ideas and other speculation, despite the team appearing content to keep him for the upcoming 2026 season.

Nonetheless, it won’t stop teams from calling to ask for the player; now, whether they make an offer that piques the Raiders’ interest is another story. On the April 10 edition of “The Rich Eisen Show,” former Raiders general manager Mike Mayock shared his thoughts on Crosby’s future and whether that will be with the Silver and Black.

“My best guess is that Maxx is sticking around,” Mayock said. “But one of the things I mentioned to him afterward was, though I may have forgotten exactly how he said it, just work your ass off like you always have. Be who you are. Be all in on the Raiders, but be prepared for anything, because you can’t control it, and you’ve got to be ready to move no matter what.”

Moreover, Mayock believes that, because of the moves the Raiders have made, Crosby is buying into a future with the Silver and Black.

“He wants to make a decision and go, and I think he’s all in on the Raiders right now. That’s especially true with the infrastructure they put in place this offseason… I think they’ve done a lot of really good things this offseason, and I’m guessing Maxx is pretty excited about it.”

Kirk Cousins Gets Blunt About Maxx Crosby

The Raiders officially introduced veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins on April 6, confirming his arrival with the team. Alongside the announcement, the organization released a sit-down interview with Cousins, in which he discussed his new situation in Las Vegas.

Even from the offensive side of the ball, Cousinswas asked about Maxx Crosby, whois expected to remain with the Raiders after a reported trade to the Baltimore Ravens fell apart this offseason. The deal collapsed following a failed physical, bringing the star pass rusher back to Las Vegas.

Cousins made it clear he is glad to now be on the same side as Crosby after facing him as an opponentin the past.

“There’s only a handful of guys in the league, maybe a half‑dozen, that truly you’re thinking about as you prepare for them the entire week, every play, saying, ‘What are we doing about this guy?'”Cousins said in a April 6 video on the Raiders’ YouTube channel.

“And there’s only about a half‑dozen of them. Maxx is one of those guys where, you know, you are all week long wondering how he could wreck the game on this play, on this play, on this play.”

Kirk Cousins on What Makes Maxx Crosby Special

Moreover, Cousins noted the characteristics that make Crosby a special pass rusher and one of the best at his position in the league.

“Just his energy, his motor, his example, I think it’s really impactful to the whole organization and the locker room,” Cousins added. “You know, if we could have a bunch of Maxx Crosbys, we’d have as good a team as there is in the league. So I got to meet him, talk with him a little bit, have played against him, and can’t wait to now be on the same team.”
