Eagles' WR trade news is good A.J. Brown omen for Patriots, Rams, Bills, Chiefs

More and more, it looks like an A.J. Brown trade is going to happen.

The latest signal of that came Friday when the Philadelphia Eagles traded with the Green Bay Packers to acquire WR Dontayvion Wicks.

The Eagles have now brought aboard Wicks, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore in the last month.

The WR depth chart behind DeVonta Smith would be a little bit crowded even without A.J. Brown.

This doesn't mean a trade is imminent. It still makes more financial sense for the Eagles to move their star wideout in a deal after June 1, not before.

But there's certainly the possibility that a trade goes down, and it's only made more likely by the Wicks trade.

If there's one clear favorite to land Brown at this point, it's the New England Patriots. They signed Romeo Doubs this offseason, but he might be better suited as a WR2 alongside Brown.

The Los Angeles Rams have been in the rumors, too, and Brown would add to a loaded passing attack there.

The Buffalo Bills may be thought of as less serious now that they already traded for D.J. Moore, but they were linked all along and can't be totally written off.

And what about the Kansas City Chiefs? They've let other wideouts go this offseason. At least on paper, they'd have room for Brown to come and be Patrick Mahomes' top target.

That's to say nothing of more developmental teams like the Las Vegas Raiders that could use Brown to help a young QB -- although it's not clear Brown would want a situation like that.

All that's for sure is that the Wicks trade has not quieted down the noise about an A.J. Brown trade -- it's only getting louder.
