The Las Vegas Raiders want to add another wide receiver for projected No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza, and there’s been a topic of conversation that includes an avenue where the team makes a trade for Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver AJ Brown.

Now it’s fueling up once again.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles have traded a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks. Schefter then followed up his post with this:

“AJ Brown’s future in Philadelphia remains a topic of conversation, and in the meantime, the Eagles add another WR in Dontayvion Wicks from Green Bay. The belief remains that, if an AJ Brown trade were to happen, it would likely occur after June 1, when the cap burden would be more manageable for the Eagles.”

That’s not all. ESPN’s Jordan Reid also added that the Eagles are a team that “could get aggressive in trading up for a receiver.”

“Circle the Eagles as a team that could get aggressive in trading up for a receiver. Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State) is a player to watch, as he could still be on the board in the Nos. 17-20 range. GM Howie Roseman is notorious for drafting replacements for veterans a year in advance.”

It all seems to add to the conclusion that the Eagles would be open to trading AJ Brown away, and if that’s the case, the Raiders should be interested.

The Raiders’ current wide receiver room consists of Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech, Tre Tucker, and Dont’e Thornton Jr. as the main options. They can certainly use an upgrade, and for the right price, Brown could be the perfect piece to add to the puzzle.

Potential Trade Package for Brown

NFL.com writer Matt Okada proposed the Raiders send a 2026 third-round pick and pass rusher Maxx Crosby for Brown and a 2026 first-round pick.

That’s not gonna happen, but a more realistic trade package could be the Raiders sending a 2026 second- and fifth-round pick to the Eagles for Brown.

Okada did, however, provide some context on why the Raiders should make the trade for Brown.

“Keep in mind, Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the league last season with a 35.8% target share as the focal point of new head coach Klint Kubiak’s offense in Seattle. Should Brown make his way to Vegas this offseason, he would immediately step into top-tier volume in this receiver room — something he’s frequently campaigned for in Philadelphia.”

If not Brown, there are also options during the draft. In the second round, the Raiders could have their choice between guys like Omar Cooper Jr., Denzel Boston, Germie Bernard, Chris Bell, Malachi Fields, and Antonio Williams. All top-10 WRs in Dane Brugler’s The Beast, where he’s scouted 380 wide receiver prospects.

It’s hard to say any of those prospects end up offering the Raiders better play on the field than Brown, but on the flip side, they won’t have a $29 million cap hit that Brown has.
