Manchester United have constructed a temporary marquee behind the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand before facing Leeds in the Premier League on Monday. The club's official wine partner, Casillero del Diablo, are planning a number of sponsor activations around the match.

United fans attending the game are set to notice the wine brand around Old Trafford, while a temporary marquee has been erected in the N2 car park for the company to entertain guests with food and beverages.

Casillero del Diablo have been a United partner since 2010, meaning they are one of the longest-standing partnerships in the club's portfolio.

United's website reads: "There are many similarities between Casillero del Diablo and Manchester United – tradition, quality, work excellence and a renowned presence all over the world. Casillero del Diablo wines are served in the VIP suites at Old Trafford, and those who attend a game will see the brand advertising on the digital boards."

Casillero del Diablo filmed number of United-related promotional adverts throughout the 2010s, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick and Zlatan Ibrahimovic involved.

In previous years, Casillero del Diablo have offered their customers the opportunity to watch a game at Old Trafford, and competitions have been arranged to play on the pitch at the end of the season.

United are keen to maintain strong relationships with their long-standing partners after losing two key sponsors. In February, United confirmed a decrease in commercial revenue in their second quarter financial results.

The commercial revenue for the quarter was £78.5million, a drop of £6.6m on the same period last year.

United's training kit sponsorship agreement with Tezos expired at the end of June. United have gone this season without a training kit sponsor for the first time since 2021/2022, when their agreement with AON concluded. The Tezos agreement was worth £24m per season.

The club are braced for a further drop because the sleeve sponsorship deal with DXC Technology, which is thought to be worth £20m per season, will expire at the end of the campaign.

United sources claim there is a strong pipeline of new sponsors waiting in the wings, but the latest financial numbers show the importance of deals being thrashed out in the coming months.
