Pat Nevin believes Everton could pull off another Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall steal if they were to sign Liam Delap.
Everton remain interested in signing Delap following their push to sign him last summer.
Instead, Delap made the decision to join Chelsea, which has proven to be a bad decision given his lack of consistent minutes.

Pat Nevin urges Everton to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea
Everton believe they can improve Delap through offering him regular game time in the starting XI.
The 23-year-old has only scored one Premier League goal this season, with most of his minutes coming off the bench.
“Delap reminds me of Conor Gallagher and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Different types of players, but a similar situation,” Nevin told TalkSPORT.

“Great player, fine player, but you’re not in the right place. So Kiernan goes up to Everton, and it is great and it is exactly what he wants and needs.
“Everton need a centre forward, don’t they? So, in my dream scenario, Liam strikes me as the right fit for someone like Everton.”
It is believed that Chelsea are now open to selling Delap following an underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge.
“Looking forward, I don’t think it would hurt Chelsea, I don’t think it would hurt Everton in any way, and I don’t think it would hurt Delap if he did move to Everton and then was allowed to flourish. I’m only saying that because it’s what I want, because I want Everton to do well.”
Everton have already proven they can transform the careers of former Chelsea players through the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Since making the move to Merseyside, Dewsbury-Hall has been knocking on Thomas Tuchel’s door for an England call-up.
However, Everton can no longer afford to take risks in the striker position.
Everton must consider Liam Delap risk this summer
Everton are pushing for the European spots and could even qualify for the Champions League if they finish in fifth.
A lot of Everton fans would happily sell summer signing Thierno Barry on the back of his performances this season.
The Toffees could unlock a new level of player this summer through European qualification, which should have them aiming higher than a striker who has scored just one goal.
It has been a long time since Everton had a real quality striker up front, with the fans losing patience when it comes to some of the recent striker signings.
Although there is a potential upside with Delap, fans will want to see a proven goalscorer signed this summer.
