Colston Loveland appears to have a new lady in his life.

The interest in Colston Loveland’s love life has taken center stage on social media.

The Chicago Bears tight end just wrapped up a very impressive rookie season in which he finished as the team’s top receiver, but until this week, he had revealed essentially nothing about his personal life since the Bears drafted him 10th overall last April.

And technically, he still hasn’t. But his mother, Rachel Faulkner Loveland, posted a photo of him with a young woman — presumably his girlfriend — on her Instagram account in an April 9 post celebrating his birthday.

Sports Illustrated reported Loveland’s new girlfriend is named Angelique, also noting a Reddit user shared a different photo of the presumed new couple appearing to celebrate Easter together.

GettyTE Colston Loveland of the Chicago Bears seems to have a new girlfriend, reportedly named Angelique.

The image of Loveland and his apparent new paramour, which was widely circulated but Chicago Bears History on Instagram and X, is the first public confirmation that Loveland is in a relationship.

As recently as last spring, Loveland himself had not been publicly linked to anyone romantically, and his Instagram account is focused almost entirely on football.

The 6-foot-6, 241-pound TE quickly became a fan favorite, and a decent swath of that fandom is female. It’s something Loveland himself as joked about.

Selected with the 10th overall pick in last April’s draft, Loveland was the first tight end taken and the highest-drafted tight end by the Bears in more than six decades.

Loveland finished his rookie year with 58 catches for 713 yards and six touchdowns. He added 193 receiving yards across two playoff games, the most ever recorded by a rookie tight end in the postseason. Pro Football Focus listed him as the highest-graded rookie in the NFL in 2025 and the second-highest graded tight end in the entire league.

The Sky’s the Limit for Loveland in Year 2

Loveland’s breakout moment last year came in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He caught his first career touchdown on a five-yard pass earlier in the game, then caught a 58-yard touchdown with 17 seconds remaining to give Chicago a 47-42 win.

In January, in the Bears’ first playoff victory in 15 years, Loveland caught eight passes for 137 yards in a 31-27 wild-card win over the Green Bay Packers, showing he can bring it when the stage is at its biggest.

The historical company he is keeping is part of why the rookie season drew national attention. Loveland is the first rookie to lead the Bears in receiving yards since Willie Gault in 1983, and the first rookie tight end to lead the team in receiving since Hall of Famer Mike Ditka in 1961.

There were several fans and analysts who wondered whether the Bears made the right choice when they selected Loveland over fellow TE Tyler Warren in the 2025 draft, but few would argue that point today.

“Tyler is going to be a great player,” Bears senior director of player personnel Jeff King said about the young TE, via Courtney Cronin of ESPN. “But for us, we just felt that the alignment from coaching, scouting, everybody that touched both players that [Loveland] was the best fit for us. We aren’t comparing players. Both of those guys are going to have really good careers, but Colston was the best fit for us.”
