The NFL world is in mourning after news broke that one of their former running backs passed away. He spent his entire carer playing for two different teams and had a memorable college career. He spent six years in the league after four years with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Former NFL Running Back Passes Away From Parkinson’s Disease (Breaking)
Tony Davis, who spent six years in the league with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has passed away due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease.
Davis was a star running back for Tecumseh High School in the mid 70s (1972-1975) before joining the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He proved to be a star with Nebraska in 1973 when he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns in 1973. That year he won the Sugar Bowl MVP award after defeating the Florida Gators 13-10.
In 1981 he was inducted into the Nebraska Hall of Fame.

Tony Davis’ NFL Career
Davis was selected in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. In 1979 he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played through the 1981 season. Here are his career numbers:
