The 2025 season was another masterclass from Sean McVay. His Los Angeles Rams went 12–5 and advanced to the NFC Championship Game, and McVay joined Hall of Famers Curly Lambeau and George Halas as the only head coaches in NFL history with 100 combined wins before turning 40.
Now in the thick of the offseason, McVay and the Rams are in roster-building mode ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, with the franchise holding the No. 13 overall pick and working through key depth decisions at quarterback and receiver.
But away from the gridirin, the 40-year-old is a father of two, and right now, that side of his life is getting plenty of pub.

At the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, McVay sat down with Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” and gave a candid perspective of what life looks like with a toddler and a newborn under the same roof. On the big brother dynamic, McVay didn’t sugarcoat it.
“He is a good big brother. He’s a jealous big brother. When mom’s holding Christian, he’s very gentle. And then he’ll sneak in a good little jab. Christian’s going to be tough. When he grows up, he’s going to remember all,” McVaytold Adams with a grin.
He also broke down the contrast in their personalities, adding, “Jordan is active. I would say this. Christian is even-keeled, great sleeper, very calm. He’s like Veronica. Jordan seems like he’s wired like his dad. I’m going to try to have him avoid some of the pitfalls that his dad’s had, but he’s the best.”

General Manager Les Snead has joked that McVay’s intensity is so high that he even scouts his children for those same traits, looking for “alert, intense, and passionate” qualities.
However, back on the football side, the Rams signed McVay and GM Les Snead to multi-year extensions, keeping the NFL’s longest-running leadership duo together. For next season, McVay kept 16 staffers, added Kliff Kingsbury as assistant head coach, and promoted Nate Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator.
